St. Augustine, Florida, October 26, 2011… Carlisle Interconnect Technologies (CarlisleIT) announces today another achievement for their Tukwila, WA facility for being chosen as one of the sixteen finalists in IndustryWeek’s 2011 Best Plants Competition. Finalist in the competition included world class organizations such as Boeing Philadelphia and Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control out of Lufkin, TX.
“This is a great statement of reinforcement that we are moving in the right direction with our Lean Manufacturing principles and implementation of the Carlisle Operating System (COS),” says Mike Bush, VP Aerospace Operations, “being the first of 68 plants under the Carlisle Corporate family to achieve internal recognition of it’s achievements and a finalist in the 2011 Best Plants competition in the same year is evidence of a systemic shift towards a cultural change within our company to implement and sustain better processes.”
