Originally Carlyle, Inc. that was established as a manufacturer’s representative for an East Coast Airframe Wire Manufacturer in 1970. Carlyle expanded and diversified by adding manufacturing capabilities and distribution of Boeing & Military Specification wire & cable, electronic component parts, and Fiber Optics capabilities. Carlyle continued to evolve and focused efforts on becoming a leader in the design, assembly and sale of specialty in-flight entertainment wire and cable assemblies to the aerospace industry. Today, our Kent location is the market leader in providing cable assemblies for the in-flight entertainment industry and is growing market share in the general aerospace, military and test and measurement segments.

CarlisleIT has grown to become a sole-source provider of cable assemblies and components to the top IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) OEM’s. Kent has been successfully implementing lean manufacturing concepts since August of 2008 when Carlisle Companies launched COS (Carlisle Operating System). COS has had a major impact on Safety, Quality, Production Efficiencies, and Lead-Time Reduction. Lean manufacturing is providing us with the opportunity to tap into our employee’s operational experience and create a culture of continuous improvement.
