Cerritos, CA - Quality Requirements for Suppliers

A. The supplier will agree to all Carlisle Interconnect Technologies (CarlisleIT) Terms of Purchase and the quality requirements in this document.

B. Purchase Orders will call out the appropriate revision of product specifications and quality requirements which apply to the specific order in addition to those in this document and the CarlisleIT Terms of Purchase. Quality requirements may include quality system requirements, special inspection and/or test requirements, environmental requirements and/or regulatory requirements. The supplier will certify that product meets all material requirements.

C. The Supplier will grant right of access by CarlisleIT, CarlisleIT’s customer and regulatory authorities to all facilities and to all applicable records involved in filling the requirements of the Purchase Order.

D. Records of required tests and inspections will be maintained at the supplier site for a minimum of 7 yrs. and will be available to CarlisleIT upon request.

E. Change to approved materials, methods or plant location shall not be made without notification to and prior approval from CarlisleIT in writing. Examples of “methods” are stamping vs. machining, electroless vs. electrolytic plating.

F. CarlisleIT will not accept material/product which does not conform to specifications without a pre-arranged waiver signed by CarlisleIT engineering.

G. The supplier will provide an RMA number for reject material returns in less than 5 days from request. Rework or replacement and due dates will be negotiated.

H. The supplier will respond to a Supplier Corrective Action request within 10 days with written closure within 30 days. The supplier shall contain all questionable inventory and work in process at the supplier site upon receipt of the SCAR.

I. The supplier will notify CarlisleIT of non-conforming material which has been shipped to CarlisleIT prior to discovery.

J. The supplier will flow down all CarlisleIT requirements to sub-tier suppliers.

K. All mil-spec components will be purchased from manufacturer’s listed on the corresponding QPL supplier list.

L. Supplier shall not ship product to CarlisleIT if they are not approved franchised distributors for said product without prior approval from CarlisleIT. In addition, material received by CarlisleIT that is found to be counterfeit or used material will not be accepted by CarlisleIT and any financial loss to CarlisleIT due to receipt of counterfeit or used material will be the responsibility of the supplier to reimburse CarlisleIT for said loss.

M. Suppliers of silver plated copper wire must meet the packaging requirements to prevent red plague issues when this requirement is listed on the purchase order. “Package silver plated copper wire per CarlisleIT supplier quality requirement”. Packaging requirements are as follows:

a. Splices are to be covered with heat-shrinkable tubing.
b. Unspliced ends require end caps.
c. Spools must be used to ensure the wire/cable bending radius is not violated at any time.
d. Each spool is to be bagged in clear plastic with desiccant. Bagging material must be polyethylene.
e. All spool/box labels must include this warning statement:
WARNING: MOISTURE DAMANGES WIRE/CABLE – KEEP ENDS SEALED.
f. 10 awg and smaller wire must use non-returnable plastic spools with a 5” min barrel diameter. 8 awg and larger must use 24” wood reels with plastic wrap extending between flanges and covering spooled wire; include desiccant.
g. Un-insulated conductors shall be packaged using silver saver vapor corrosion inhibitor paper or equivalent and within polyethylene bags containing desiccant.

N. If the following comment is listed on the CarlisleIT purchase order: This product is controlled for export as a defense article under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (Title 22,C.F.R.Parts 120-130). DiversIon contrary to US law is prohibited, supplier is responsible for adhering to all ITAR requirements.
